Our Music Theatre program is unique in Atlantic Canada. A half hour private lesson provides an environment for intensive learning and development, combined with a weekly performance class that provides an opportunity to learn critical skills as part of group. This proven successful technique develops the performer, not just a performance.

Haines is a graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, NYC, and was the Founder and Artistic Director of Yarmouth Summer Stage and Theatre Camp, and founding Director of the MCPA’s Musical & Dramatic Department. He has written several stage musicals and received support from Du Maurier Arts for two productions of his musical, The Baltimore.
Haines composed and recorded a musical episode for Salter Street's -The LEXX-BrigaDOOM and acted in several episodes as well as appearing in LIOCRACY. He has implemented new courses and taught Music Theatre at Acadia University for four years.
MUSIC THEATRE 101 (12-14 years)
Each student receives 1/2 hour private lesson in music plus 1 hour of group performance class every week. Learn the basics of good vocal technique, diction, song presentation, basic blocking and group performance study.

MUSIC THEATRE 102 (15-17 years)
Same as above. This course is good for those that are just beginning or have a little experience.

MUSIC THEATRE 200 (12-17 years)
Are you already a young performer? This is the continuation of Music Theatre 100 series. If you are competing in Festivals, performing professionally or in your School Musical then this is the course for you. Included: vocal study, Score Study, Blocking and movement, character development and presentation skills to effectively communicate the song. 1/2 hour private lessons and 1 hour group presentation class weekly.

MUSIC THEATRE FOR ADULTS 400 (18+ years)
This group course meets weekly for 1.5 hours and is especially designed for adults who would like to better their musical performance skills. These sessions will help you if you are new to auditioning for Music Theatre and are looking for new repertoire, or if you are a performer working on specific audition material. *Special Guests will join some sessions.
