Bebel Ribeiro has Bachelor of Music degree in flute and graduate certificate in Music Education. She received her Suzuki training from Kelly Williamson, a renowned Canadian Suzuki teacher trainer. Bebel has taught children, youth and adults the joys of playing the flute. In Brazil, she taught at Centro Suzuki de São Paulo, at GURI – a social program which uses music as a tool to promote social and cultural inclusion – and at her particular studio. Her experience as a flutist includes performances in orchestras and chamber groups as well as participation in recordings. The Suzuki flute students learn playful and motivating exercises that teach proper breathing, articulation, rhythm and posture as well as inner ear training. Students will be able to make music using few resources, in order to acquire consistency in embochure and tone, until it comes time to use the entire flute. The Suzuki flute program accepts students from 4 years of age.
