Currently a teacher in the Halifax Suzuki program at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts, Carrie VanSlyke holds a Master’s degree in viola performance from McGill University. Since moving to Halifax in 2013, she has performed regularly with Symphony Nova Scotia as well as the Baroque n’ fiddle quartet. She has also performed with ensembles and orchestras in the United States, Canada, Italy, Croatia and Australia. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carrie holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the College-Conservatory of Music. Carrie has studied Suzuki pedagogy with Martha Shackford and Linda Stieg.
