Since 1947 the Conservatory School of Dance has been providing exceptional dance education with a focus on classical ballet. We also offers a highly respected post-secondary Teacher Training Diploma Program and full time Professional Ballet Program.

School of Music

For over 130 years, the School of Music has been inspiring individuals of all ages to pursue their passion for music through vocal and instrumental workshops, classes, private lessons, and ensemble training.  We stands as a testament to the rich artistic heritage and vibrant culture of our city.

Flute Lessons - Sibylle Marqaurdt

Ms. Sibylle Marquardt Appointed Dean of Music

The MCPA Board of Governors is pleased to announce that Ms. Sibylle Marquardt has been appointed as the new Dean of Music. After a rigorous selection process,  Ms. Marquardt was chosen from a field of nearly 30 applicants from across North America.

She is now a resident of Halifax and has been teaching flute and piccolo at the Conservatory since 2018. She is a certified RCM Examiner and a frequent adjudicator at music festivals. For more about her distinguished career in both performance and music education, see;
