Antonia is a Certified Music Therapist with over fifteen years of experience in
pediatric, adult, and geriatric care. She has a bachelor’s in music performance
from Concordia University, in music education from Dalhousie University, and a
Certificate in Music Therapy from Acadia University. She is trained in Neurologic
Music Therapy and has completed graduate level studies from Colorado State
University with an emphasis on neuroscience and evidence-based practices.
An improviser, singer, and creative collaborator, Antonia brings a sense of
creative play and engagement to her sessions. She has worked extensively with
children and older adults living with neurological and developmental conditions
such as dementia and autism, in hospitals, schools, and long-term care settings
in Ottawa and Halifax.
Drawing on many years as a voice teacher, Antonia often centers therapy
through a vocal lens—using the voice as a primary tool for expression and
communication to support both emotional wellbeing and physical goals.
