Delano, Rachael


Rachael Delano is a professional musician living in Halifax, Nova Scotia (K’jipuktuk) who specializes as a vocal coach, choir conductor, musician, and arranger. Rachael’s primary expertise is in contemporary vocal coaching, and she brings a wealth of experience and compassion to her work as a musician. She provides support to young singers developing their skills, as well as advanced coaching for experienced musicians.  She has studied with Natalie Weiss, Dr. Gregory Servant, Marcia Swanston, Christina Murray, Bob Anderson, and Dr. Frances Farrell. Rachael is a graduate of the Fountain School of Performing Arts at Dalhousie University with First Class Honours in Music.
Today, Rachael is regularly sought after for music lessons, vocal coaching, and performances throughout the Halifax region. She is a current touring member of Xara Choral Theatre,  co-directs Bedford Voices through the Halifax Regional Centre for Education (Halifax All City Music), she is the Lead Arranger for The Big Sing, and works to cultivate young singers’ abilities as an instructor through Perform! Nova Scotia currently directing five school choirs in the HRM. Rachael is excited to be part of the MCPA team and is looking forward to working with you!
