Lauren Klein grew up in Halifax and studied violin with Jan Wicha and was a member of NSYO, HSSO, and the MCPA Chamber Orchestra. She received a Bachelor of Music and a Diploma in Chamber Music from Wilfrid Laurier University where she studied with Jerzy Kaplanek, as well as a Masters of Music from the University of Victoria with Sharon Stanis. In Victoria she performed with the Victoria Chamber Orchestra, the Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra, and Raven Baroque. In Halifax she has performed with Symphony Nova Scotia, St. George’s Consort, and currently serves as principal second for the Chebucto Symphony Orchestra. Recently she has performed in Cape Breton with the new opera The Bells Of Baddeck. She teaches Suzuki violin to students of all ages.
