A week-long introduction in brass instrumental performance for students aged 8-18 with at least one year of experience on their preferred instrument (trumpet/cornet, horn, baritone/euphonium, trombone, tuba/bass).
The purpose of the camp is to foster and inspire the education of brass students, through the brass instrumental medium. The camp will provide both individual and group instruction (sectionals, master classes, and large ensemble), culminating in a performance at the end of the week. Instruction will be provided by Conservatory faculty and guests and the camp will serve as an opportunity for participants to prepare them for joining the youth brass programs at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts.

For string players ages 6 through 14 of all levels. Playing music together is a wonderful opportunity for creativity, fun and friendship. Every day will include chamber music, technique and repertoire classes, rhythm and movement classes, opportunity for arts and crafts and outdoor recreation. Weekly highlights include: improvisation and creation and performance opportunities.
The camp will wrap up with a performance for family and friends!

Students will rotate between sessions on vocal technique, acting through song, musicality, rep selection, music/ audition cuts, industry expectations, performance anxiety, mock auditions. The week culminates in a public showcase performance open to the public.

Great news! This summer we are again offering our popular Summer Theory Intensive camps at different levels for those students who are too busy to attend weekly theory classes during the academic school year. (The music theory examinations are a prerequisite for the RCM and MCPA examination certificates for level 5 to ARCT for all voice and instrument practical exams.)
Each camp is 10 days long, spanning two weeks of 3 hours a day for a total of 30 hours. These Camps will prepare you for the History 9, Harmony 9, 10 & ARCT, Analysis ARCT, Theory 6 & 8 theory examinations of the Royal Conservatory of Music in August 2024.

Cellists of all levels, welcome!
Centered around cello ensemble, this program offers many opportunities for cellists to play with one another. A great opportunity to improve your cello skills in a friendly environment with social time and a final concert. New this year! Both full day and half day participation is possible.
Full day participation is 9:30am to 3:30pm M-F, Saturday 10am to 2pm. Participants receive individual lessons, cello chamber music coaching as well as workshops and cello ensemble.
Half day participation is 1:00pm-3:30pm M-F, Saturday 10am-2pm. Ideal for someone commuting from a further distance, this program consists of interactive workshops and playing in large cello ensemble.
