Certificate Programs

Junior Certificate Program

 

The Junior Certificate Programs offer an opportunity for students to challenge themselves and realize their full potential in the art of dance. These Programs provide a rich experience allowing students to both intensify their ballet training and broaden their dance education, through the awarding of a certificate recognizing the accomplishments of developing artists.

 

Entrance to both the Junior and Senior Certificate Programs is by invitation. Interested students should talk to their teacher as well as Dean of Dance for further information regarding acceptance into programs.

 

Any student enrolled in the Certificate Program will receive a 20% discount on class tuition.

The Conservatory is recognized by the Department of Education as a provider for the Personal Ballet high school credit. Students in the Senior Certificate program as well as Level ll of the Professional Program are encouraged to apply.

Ages: 10+

Required curriculum:
2 Ballet classes weekly
1 Character class weekly
1 Modern or Jazz class weekly
1 Unit of theory

In order to receive the Junior Certificate students must have:
• been enrolled in the program for a minimum of two years
• passed the theory exam
• passed the Grade 4 RAD ballet exam, or equivalent
• received positive evaluation from their teachers.

Senior Certificate Program

The Junior and Senior Certificate Programs offer an opportunity for students to challenge themselves and realize their full potential in the art of dance. These Programs provide a rich experience allowing students to both intensify their ballet training and broaden their dance education, through the awarding of a certificate recognizing the accomplishments of developing artists.

• been enrolled in the program for a minimum of two years
• passed an Intermediate RAD exam, or equivalent
• passed the theory exam
• received positive evaluation from their teachers
• performed in a recital a classical or contemporary piece at an acceptable level.
