Bring your musical ideas to life in real time through movement, gesture, and collaboration.
Join faculty member Shauna DeGruchy for a 90-minute creative workshop that invites musicians to step beyond the notes and explore how sound and gesture connect. Using simple visual cues and physical direction, participants will build spontaneous ensemble pieces, no sheet music required.
Open to intermediate-level musicians (ages 13–adult) on any instrument or voice type. No prior improvisation experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment. You’ll explore leading and following, shaping sound through movement, and discovering how simple cues can transform a group’s collective sound.
