Tom holds a Certificate in Music Therapy and Bachelor of Music from Acadia University. During his time at Acadia, Tom gained experience working in long-term care and with individuals of various ages with physical and developmental disabilities.

From playing many genres of music in various bands in the past, and a passion for songwriting, Tom has an eclectic musical style that can be tailored to the needs of those he works with. He has a warm and understanding way of communicating that allows meaningful relationships with participants to form and flourish. Tom enjoys spending his free time playing in a country band, camping, and spending time with friends and family. He is excited to develop his skills as a music therapist during his internship here at the Maritime Conservatory!
