There are other places where you can dance, other places to take music lessons, other community spaces. But when it is all housed under one roof and you add accomplished community members teaching together, it becomes so much more. It is a space for the arts."

“The first time I stepped into the conservatory, hearing students playing the piano with passion, I felt the need to be part of this amazing place. Something I will never forget is how accommodating and helpful the people at the conservatory, from teachers and different staff members. I had financial difficulties after few weeks of me starting my piano and singing learning. I did not want to stop my learning journey, where music is a huge passion for me. Through the teachers and staff members seeing my huge passion for music, and with applying through filling forms, I got a scholarship from the Maritime Conservatory for some classes. The parent-group of the young kids (4 to 6 so far for us) is able to sit together and talk while our littles learn to love creative movement and developmentally important coordination and social skills. The time for the parents is an added bonus from the program. The parents and the children have become supportive friends. This is a kind and caring community. People need each other for their well-being. The conservatory meets this need in a way most places do not.”
