When you fundraise for the Maritime Conservatory, you help ensure that students at every age and stage of life have access to music and dance.
Our work at the Maritime Conservatory would not be possible without donors and volunteers just like you. When our dedicated supporters come together, they achieve great things and come up with exciting and new ways to support our mission and our message!
You can take steps right here in your community to show your support for the Conservatory. Whether you’re planning an event, starting a matching program, or donating a portion of your profits, your work allows us to ensure that everyone has the chance to experience the joys of a musical life. We are grateful for your help!

Hosting a fundraising event is a great way to share your love for the Maritime Conservatory, all while raising money to support the mission! Fundraisers can be dinners, concerts, yard sales, or other events built around bringing folks together to raise money for music and dance here at the Conservatory.
Implementing employee/employer matching donations as a part of your business can foster a culture of philanthropy in your workplace, build community, and double your donation’s impact.
Dollars and cents can go a long way! Consider installing a change collector at your place of business to let your patrons know that you support local charitable organizations.
Donations are a wonderful way to honour a loved one and share a cause that you are passionate about! Consider donations to the Maritime Conservatory at events like your wedding or birthday in lieu of gifts to share your love for music and dance with your friends and family.
The development department at the Maritime Conservatory is here to support you in creating your own fundraising event! Reach out to Jessie Walker, our development officer, for more information!

Maritime Conservatory messaging:
(this is necessary in allowing folks to understand our work and what we do)
Since 1887 the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts has been at the centre of music and dance education in K’jipuktuk/Halifax. Throughout that time thousands of students have developed a life-long love of the performing arts, many of whom have gone on to professional careers all around the world based on the solid foundation acquired here.
Today students of all ages and abilities continue to join our arts family to pursue their goals and follow their dreams in music and dance. From the youngest baby in our ‘Kindermusik’ program to our ‘Silver Swans’ of ballet, we continue to nurture Nova Scotians in the performing arts in all ages and stages of life.
Music and dance nourish the soul. Learning and performing builds confidence, enhances lives, and helps people become their true selves. Drawn here by a reputation for excellence the Conservatory has a faculty of experienced and professional teachers who are its heart and soul. Here they impart their knowledge and passion to inspire their students to be the best that they can be whatever their goals and wherever their ambitions may take them. The Conservatory is a home of human beauty.
Our work and success demonstrate the value and impact of investments in the arts, where supporters can invest in a new generation of musicians, dancers, and musical relevance right here in their community, and highlight Nova Scotia’s presence on the world’s stages.
